Autot ja Viihde 2018 - 29th of September - Lahti, Finland - Yankee Car Show - Part 1/3 - Hot Rods

Autot ja Viihde is the last of the big car shows in the calendar and marks the end of the summer cruising season in Finland. This year show was divided into two parts, Yankee Car Show and X-treme Car Show, and occupied three halls of the Expo center of Lahti, which worked as a venue for the event. Cars from all over Scandinavia participated to the three day event. There was also a lot see outside where Hobbyist Car Park gathered a lot nice cars from nearby areas.

Billy Gibbons from ZZ-Top; Jimmy Shine, a well known fabricator, car builder and owner of Shine Speedshop, and Gene Winfield, legendary car customizer, were special guests for this year's event. They gave out two awards, which were designated by them. Gene also participated into a demonstration, which included chopping a car in front of live audience.

Check out rest of the event photos from links below:

PS: I visited MP-messut, a motorcycle expo, last Saturday and next Saturday I will go to Kustom Kulture Show. Stay tuned for pictures from those events later 😊

Westcoast Motor Show @ Botnia Hall - Part 5 - American - 24th of September 2017 - Vaasa, Finland

Here's the last set of photos from the event. I saved the biggest category last 😉 Lots of cool cars were on display in this category. Probably my favorite ones were 1932 Ford 5W Coupe, 1947 Buick Roadmaster, 1957 Pontiac Starchief and 1971 Chevrolet Camaro if I had to name a few.

American and yankee cars have been very popular in Finland for a long time. There are a lot of events (shows, cruises, meet ups, swap meets etc.) based around this scene and most of them are located in southern part of Finland. With that said there are a lot of nice events also elsewhere around Finland like this one in Ostrobothnia.
